  • Restaurant Calcuta, Typical Indian Cousin, Dillon (guest) wrote 15 years ago:
Without doubt the best Indian restaurant in Lisbon- and judging from my Algarve and Porto experiences, the best in Portugal. Superb, friendly, welcoming and warm service with dishes of the highest quality. A must-try for anyone who loves Indian food and equally for those first-timers who want to start at the top!

Some fringe areas of the park are infamous for prostitution. But I guess it is not a place of violence nor drugs. Police patrols it on horse riding. Lisbon can have sometimes very fresh breezes, like in high places such as this park. But in lower parts of the city there's a lot of car pollution, especially at rush hour.

Very interesting site... first time I had a meal in "O furao" was in 1971. We had so much fun with imperial, caracois and "terremos" (Small beans, I don´t know to write it correctly).

Not safe at night? Wonder where... Lisbon has some of the lowest pollution levels of any European city. Mind you, the Atlantic is right next to it and its refreshing breezes keep the atmosphere clean.
